Clams clams and clams in Nohyundong

The thing about Korea, when there is a restaurant that succeeds in something, everyone follows and all next to one other. There's always a chunk of similar restaurants all lined up together on the same street, selling similar menu. This clam restaurant in Nohyun-dong is the same. There are many grilled clam restaurants in this town but I was told this was THE original place where clam grilling all began...well I'm not sure if I believe that... but it was really tasty and unique in the way it was prepared and served.

They serve a bucket filled with clams. Some already came separated with toppings on it. The others were live clams with their mouths fully shut.
It was pretty funny trying to get these suckers to open up. They totally bit the tongs as we were trying to open it!
